Voting will once again be open to the public and the five finalists will serve their recipes to a panel of judges.  All fire fighters, including retirees, will be invited to submit their recipes online.  

Watch for exciting details at 5alarmfirefighterscookoff.com. All funds raised from the 5 Alarm Fire Fighters Cook Off will be directed to support burn research at Health Sciences Centre.

In June, 2010, the Manitoba Fire Fighters Burn Fund pledged $1 million to HSC Foundation.  This gift launched a $3 million fundraising effort to fund a Chair in Burn and Wound Care at HSC. HSC Foundation is sincerely grateful to the Manitoba Fire Fighters Burn Fund for their extraordinary commitment to burn research at HSC. This funding will allow existing work to move forward and opportunities for new areas to be explored.  There is huge potential for improvements in patient care.
