On Thursday, November 6th, tens-of-thousands of Manitobans were captivated by a day of stories of healing, compassion and hope at the Health Sciences Centre. From morning until evening, former HSC patients and family members, doctors, nurses and health care providers, generously extended their extraordinary and compelling stories to the Corus radio audience during the 2009 Gift of Hope Radiothon. We can’t thank enough, our guests, broadcasters, sponsors and donors for this extraordinary day where all money raised goes to support programs, equipment and research at Health Sciences Centre.
The Gift of Hope Radiothon, is not only a day of stories, it’s a culmination of events in support of the Radiothon generously supported by you, our HSC family. This year, again, you exceeded our expectations and made internal HSC events such as the Cash In the Can: The Festival of Can(nes), the Cupcakes for Hope, Dessert Day, Bags of Boo and the Radiothon Raffle more successful than ever.
Whether you helped fill your team’s can with cash, bought Bags of Boo, Dessert Day, picked out a Mother’s Day mum or donated directly – your generosity and encouragement helped make this year’s Radiothon a success.
