Research - Grant Applications
The Health Sciences Centre Foundation promotes health care excellence by funding medical research and clinical projects to the benefit of the diverse communities served by Health Sciences Centre.  Funding research is one of the key ways in which the HSC Foundation aims to improve technology and patient care at HSC Winnipeg.

General Operating Grants

Provide support to projects in the field of health care that will promote high quality patient care for the people of Manitoba at the Health Sciences Centre and elsewhere in the province. Grants are awarded up to $70,000 over 2 years.

Letters of Intent are due 4:00 pm on Friday December 1, 2017
Final Applications are due 4:00 pm on Friday February 9, 2018
 

Allied Health Grants

Provide support to research-based, evidence-based, and outcome measurement/quality improvement projects in an Allied Health discipline at the Health Sciences Centre.  Top-ranked applications will be funded, up to a maximum of $35,000 for the 2018-19 competition. 
 
Letters of Intent are due 4:00 pm on Friday December 1, 2017
Final Applications are due 4:00 pm on Friday February 9, 2018
 

Dolly and Michael Gembey Nursing Research Grants

Provide support to research studies or evidence-based clinical projects that promote high quality patient care and explore best practices in the field of Nursing. Top-ranked applications will be funded, up to a maximum of $70,000 for the 2018-19 competition.

Final Applications are due 4:00 pm on Friday February 9, 2018
 

Mindel and Tom Olenick Research Award in Immunology 

Provides support to Graduate (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) Students or Post Doctoral Fellows for projects in the field of Immunology, with preference to candidates chosen to receive MHRC or CIHR funding.
