Leesa & Bill were kissing for a cause
Like many brides Leesa was hoping to have a dance with one of her favourite uncles at her long awaited wedding in Dauphin Manitoba. Unfortunately, Uncle Brad wasn’t going to be able to raise his glass and toast to the bride and groom on their very special day because he was undergoing chemotherapy on GD6, the leukemia/lymphoma treatment unit at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg.
In honour of Uncle Brad, Leesa and Bill decided that instead of the traditional ‘glass klinking’, the newlyweds asked their guests to make a donation to the kissing jar to see them kiss. The couple chose a personalized tent card for every table to spread the word amoung their guests of their cause worthy of kissing. Leesa and Bill raised an outstanding $1,400 from their wedding, all of which was directed to The Hope Project, the revitalization of GD6.
