Scott is the Chief Executive Officer of Smith Carter, a WSP company (formerly GENIVAR), and has recently been appointed President of the architectural practice for WSP across Canada. Scott brings over twenty-five years of experience, continuity and advancement in the architectural and engineering consultant services industry. He joined the HSC Foundation Board of Directors in January of 2013.

Following a three-year tenure leading the development of Smith Carter’s USA office in Atlanta, Georgia, Scott returned to Winnipeg as CEO. Currently he divides his time between the President role and the practice of architecture. He has played an active leadership role in key projects for the firm including the Canadian Museum for Human Rights at The Forks, master planning studies for all the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority primary and tertiary care hospitals, and the new Women’s Hospital at HSC Winnipeg.

Complementing his leadership role at Smith Carter, Scott brings a passion and commitment to Winnipeg working with community and economic development organizations. In addition to his service with the HSC Foundation Scott is also a member of Board of Directors of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce.
