St. Boniface Hospital, Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg, and HSC Winnipeg Children’s Hospital advance patient care and research with lottery proceeds

WINNIPEG, July 3, 2026 – For one lucky Manitoban, today started like any other – and ended with $1.35 million.
The 2026 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery Grand Prize Draw took place this morning, awarding the largest grand prize in the lottery’s history. Richard Martini of Winnipeg, Manitoba, holding ticket number 7043848, has been selected as this year’s Grand Prize winner. They will choose between a tax-free cash prize of $1.35 million, or one of five home packages – each worth over $1.7 million!
The 50/50 PLUS winner was also drawn today. Stan Greenwood of The Pas, Manitoba, with ticket number 1510719 is the winner of an impressive 50/50 jackpot of $1,329,000 and will be taking home $664,500.
The Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery is a collaborative effort between three Manitoba hospital foundations—St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, Health Sciences Centre Foundation (HSC Foundation), and Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. The Lottery raises critical funds for health care in Manitoba, while simultaneously turning one of Manitoba’s residents into an instant millionaire.
Together, St. Boniface Hospital, Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg, and HSC Children’s Hospital care for nearly one million patients annually and help deliver close to 11,000 babies each year. The funds raised from this year’s lottery will go towards improving patient care through the purchase of specialized equipment, technology, and supporting innovative research.
