The Innovation HSC Radiothon is a day when we share stories of grateful and passionate Manitobans who, like so many of us, received exceptional care at HSC. Research and health care teams also provide insight into their work at the hospital, and how it helps patients. The Innovation HSC Radiothon broadcasts live from HSC’s Women’s Hospital from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on 680 CJOB, with special segments from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Country 99 and Power 97.

Money raised through the Radiothon enables the HSC Foundation to improve patient care at HSC through important research initiatives, the acquisition of cutting-edge medical equipment, and the development of new state-of-the-art facilities. Current fundraising priorities include Operation Excellence, the HSC Foundation’s bold multi-year, 100-million-dollar plan that will help end surgical and diagnostic wait lists while acquiring equipment that will improve patient outcomes and position HSC for sustained excellence; Innovation HSC, an annual campaign to support health care excellence at HSC; Unit B5B, an area that includes four modern, private rooms to support patients in hospital for epilepsy monitoring and assessment, and provide additional surgical step-down space for patients recovering from neurosurgery; and more.

This year Innovation HSC Radiothon gifts will be matched up to $75,000! Lead-up Partners Access Credit Union and Johnston Group, as well as Matching Partners Arbor Memorial and Winnipeg Kinsmen, will each match all phone, online, and in-person donations at HSC Women’s Hospital by up to $15,000; and if you would like to donate by text, Manitoba pork producers will match all texted-in donations up to $5,000.

For those who sign up to be a monthly donor during Radiothon—or for current monthly donors who increase their gift—Birchwood Automotive Group and Payworks will match the amount of your monthly gift by up to $10,000!
