Innovation HSC Radiothon
A Record-Breaking Radiothon: Thank You, Manitoba
The HSC Foundation extends its sincere thanks to the donors, partners, volunteers, and listeners who made the 20th Annual Innovation HSC Radiothon, presented by MARIC, such a remarkable success.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of Manitobans, this year’s Radiothon raised a record-breaking $525,189.98 in support of patient care and innovation at HSC Winnipeg—Manitoba’s hospital. This incredible total far surpassed our $400,000 goal and reflected the strength, compassion, and commitment of a community that believes in accessible, high-quality health care for everyone.
“This extraordinary result is a reflection of what’s possible when a community comes together with a shared belief in supporting patient care and research,” said Jonathon Lyon, President and CEO of the HSC Foundation. “Funds raised through the Innovation HSC Radiothon help ensure patients across Manitoba have access to the specialized care they need, when they need it most. We are deeply grateful to everyone who gave, volunteered, shared our message, or tuned in — your generosity truly saves lives.”
Broadcasted live from HSC Women’s Hospital on Friday, January 16, 2026, the Radiothon brought people together from across the province with one shared purpose: supporting the patients and families who rely on HSC every day. Throughout the day, listeners tuned in to 680 CJOB, Power 97, and Country 99 to hear powerful patient stories, frontline perspectives, and messages that highlighted the critical role HSC plays in delivering specialized and complex care when it matters most.
Every donation made during the Radiothon helps ensure patients receive the best possible care, close to home. From advanced medical equipment and innovative surgical tools to research and flexible funding for urgent needs, donor support continues to make a meaningful difference for thousands of Manitobans each year. A portion of the funds raised through this year’s Innovation HSC Radiothon will help acquire two vital upgrades for hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery. These upgrades will enable HSC surgeons to provide safer, more advanced care to patients requiring complex liver, pancreatic, and bile duct surgery — helping ensure Manitobans can access specialized treatment close to home.
The success of the Innovation HSC Radiothon is only possible because of the collective generosity of our community. We are deeply grateful to our donors, corporate partners, matching gift sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who shared our message or supported the day in any way. Your commitment amplified the impact of every gift and helped turn a single day of fundraising into lasting change for patient care.
On behalf of the HSC Foundation and the patients we serve, thank you for standing with Manitoba’s hospital. Your generosity is helping advance care, fuel innovation, and save lives today and for years to come.
