One of Winnipeg’s newest jewellers made a difference today in Manitoban health care.

From their grand opening on October 5, 2019, until November 8, Hillberg & Berk donated 10 per cent of their Polo Park store proceeds to the HSC Foundation’s Women’s Health Fund. The donation totaled $10,000, helping advance women’s patient care at HSC Winnipeg.

“When Hillberg & Berk comes into a new community, our focus is around ‘How can we focus on the women in that community through the success of our brand?’ We learned about the Health Sciences Centre Foundation and we were really compelled that this was the right organization to support in Manitoba,” said Hillberg & Berk founder, Rachel Mielke.

HSC Foundation President & CEO, Jonathon Lyon, met with Rachel Mielke to receive the cheque. They were joined by HSC Foundation & Hillberg & Berk staff, along with onlooking customers.

“We’re super thrilled that this money is going to fund women’s health and help people at the most vulnerable times in their lives,” said Mielke.

From the bottom of our hearts at the HSC Foundation, we’d like to thank Hillberg & Berk for being leaders in the community and supporting innovative patient care at HSC.
