Over $620,000 raised in support of patient care at HSC Winnipeg, Manitoba’s hospital

On Saturday, February 20, 2021, Manitobans gathered safely in their homes for Savour Virtual: Wine & Food Experience, presented by Jones & Company Wine Merchants. We are proud to announce that because of you, over $620,000 was raised in support of HSC Winnipeg, Manitoba’s hospital, including over $215,000 for our Fund-A-Need initiative that supports the purchase of portable ventilators—which can be used to intubate patients outside of the Critical Care Unit—and fitness equipment to enhance HSC’s PsycHealth department’s successful Movement for Mental Health initiative.
“Even without being in the same room as one another, I could feel the unwavering generosity of our supporters wholeheartedly,” says Jonathon Lyon, President & CEO of the HSC Foundation. “When people support the HSC Foundation at events like Savour, they are making a profound difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones. I want to thank our generous supporters who help us to deliver tomorrow’s health care, today.”
Attendees were treated to an exquisite charcuterie spread by De Luca’s & Peasant Cookery, and a remarkable selection of wines from Jones & Company Wine Merchants, along with other refreshments. Winnipeg’s own Big City All Star Band turned everyone’s living room into a dance floor as they entertained the audience with their crowd-pleasing tunes.
