Join us in celebrating Leigh Douglas, nurse on HSC’s Interventional Radiology Unit
No two days look alike for Beausejour-raised nurse Leigh Douglas. Leigh, who has been in the nursing field for the past 17 years first got her footing as a nurse in the surgical float pool where she was sent all over HSC Winnipeg. From there, Leigh continued to provide excellent patient care on the Trauma Acute Surgery Ward (GD3), and the Adult Recovery Room before landing on the Interventional Radiology Unit six years ago.
From providing life-saving care to stroke patients, to being able to use the latest advancements in medical technology, it is no wonder that amazing is the first word that comes to mind when Leigh thinks of her career as a nurse at HSC.
“At HSC, we strive to be the best; we are constantly striving to provide the best patient care,” says Leigh.
