November 23, 2020

Tina Jones, O.M.

We are thrilled to share that HSC Foundation Board Chair Tina Jones, O.M., has been awarded the Lieutenant Governor’s Make a Difference Community Award, an award that recognizes individuals for exceptional contributions made to the community through volunteer service!

The Lieutenant Governor’s Make a Difference Community Award is presented annually to up to six Manitobans who have embodied the spirit of volunteerism and have made a lasting and meaningful contribution to their communities.

Throughout her time spent volunteering with the Health Sciences Centre Foundation, Jones’s deep-rooted love of community and enthusiasm have propelled her to better the lives of Manitobans. Her energy, determination, and creativity have made her a tireless community builder and, as Chair of the Board of the HSC Foundation, she is instrumental in helping us reach significant fundraising goals so that HSC can deliver the best health care possible. We are forever grateful for Jones’s volunteer spirit and partnership in our work.

Volunteer Manitoba presented Jones with this well-deserved award at their virtual 37th Annual Volunteer Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. The virtual ceremony can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/-wup_UH4xjA.
