National Nursing Week runs May 11–17, 2026, and this year’s theme, “The Power of Nurses to Transform Health,” recognizes the extraordinary impact nurses have on patients, families, colleagues, and the future of health care. Through leadership, innovation, mentorship, and compassionate care, nurses help transform the patient experience every single day.
In celebration of National Nursing Week 2026, we are proud to recognize and celebrate the nurses of HSC Winnipeg and their unwavering commitment to caring for Manitobans through some of life’s most challenging moments. This year, we are shining a light on Monika Warren, Chief Operating Officer at HSC and Chief Nursing Officer at Shared Health; Leanne Yule, Clinical Resource Nurse with HSC Winnipeg’s Gamma Knife radiosurgery program; and Jade Ferens, RN in HSC Winnipeg’s trauma surgery unit.
